ILRI at 50
Join us at the International Livestock Research Institute as we celebrate 50 years of livestock research for development and the launch of ILRI's third corporate strategy.
We’re hosting a series of events across Africa and Asia to highlight ILRI’s work in promoting equitable and resilient livestock systems. This milestone is an opportunity to honor the scientists, leaders, and partners—both past and present—who have been instrumental in helping ILRI achieve its mission.
Here's what's happening so far, with new events coming soon:
- RWANDA: 3 September2024. ILRI@50 alumni and partners dinner reception in Kigali, as part of the Africa Food Systems Forum.
- IOWA, USA: 29-31 October 2024. Joint side event with Iowa State University at the Borlaug International Dialogue focusing on novel partnerships with a forward-looking agenda. Date TBC.
- VIETNAM: 15 October 2024. ILRI@50 and new strategy launch event.
- INDIA: 14-16 November 2024. ILRI@50 and new strategy launch event.

Building on 50 years of research and partnerships, ILRI's new strategy aims to transform food systems, improve climate and environmental health, and support 300 million people with sustainable livestock solutions.
