Michael Gashaw is a Technical Assistant in the International Livestock Research Institute. In this role, Michael coordinates seed regeneration activities, inspecting pests and diseases in the field, morphological characterization data collection, assisting training activities, and nursery management under the forage Genebank operation.
Michael is spent more than 10 years as a field technical assistant and a field supervisor of seed regeneration/multiplication activities in ILRI forage Genebank.
Before joining ILRI in 2009, Michael worked for four (6) years for organizations, including The Ethiopian Agricultural Research Institute, and Afar Regional government District Agricultural office.
Michael holds a BSc degree from Wolaita soddo university (Natural resource management) and Diploma from Alage Agricultural college (Plant science).
