Wario Malicha is a Research Officer in ILRI’s Livestock, Climate and Environment (LCE) program from June 2023. Before joining ILRI, Wario held several positions at diverse national and international organizations such as the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA). He is a climate change adaptation expert, with over 7 years of professional experience in livestock systems and drylands management as well as research and policy discourse. He is well grounded and analytical in dryland development and livestock systems subjects. Wario holds an Advanced master’s in governance and development from Institute of Development Policy (IOB), Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and sociology from Egerton University, Kenya.
