Sophia Huyer is Gender and Social Inclusion Leader for the CGIAR Program Accelerating the Impact of CGIAR Climate Research (AICCRA) based in the ILRI West Africa office. Other positions include Co-Chair of the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development (GAB-CSTD) and member of the USAID subcommittee on Systemic Solutions to Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (2022-2023). She is also co-editor at Gender, Technology and Development. Recent publications include “Addressing gender inequalities and strengthening women’s agency to create more climate-resilient and sustainable food systems in Global Food Security, and “From gender gaps to gender-transformative climate-smart agriculture”, in Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability.
