Sheila Abwanda Okoma joined the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) Centre for Sustainable livestock systems (SLS) team in June 2019 as a Research Officer- Environmental Sciences. She holds a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Kenyatta University and a Master degree in Quantitative Research Methods from Maseno University. She is responsible for providing support to the research projects at Mazingira Centre. She has over five years’ experience in laboratory and field work in quantification of greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs) from agricultural systems and has a keen interest in climate change mitigation and adaptation research.
