Graduate Fellow

Caleb Omukunda is a Microbiologist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya. He is also a graduate fellow at ILRI, contributing to the 'Go Heal Mastitis' project, and working under Dr. Nicholas Svitek. Caleb has hands-on experience in bacteriological and molecular techniques.

During his undergraduate studies at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, he undertook an independent project on "Antimicrobial Resistance Survey on Bacterial Isolates from Poultry," where he studied bacterial resistant patterns. Caleb’s expertise continues to grow through his current research, blending molecular biology with bioinformatics to address pressing issues in microbiology and agriculture.
