KAZNET: Crowdsourcing information for climate resilience in the drylands

Abstract

KAZNET, implemented in the drylands of Kenya and Ethiopia, is a digital innovation for crowdsourcing and disseminating climate information to pastoralists. It monitors shocks and resilience indicators, providing early warnings for drought. By combining digital technology with citizen science and social learning, KAZNET empowers communities to make informed decisions and build climate resilience.
