Livestock Health Technologies
Our Livestock Health Technologies program works to improve food security by developing new vaccines and enhancing existing ones, along with better diagnostic tools for key livestock diseases that severely impact LMICs. Our approach includes creating and testing innovative disease control strategies, such as combination vaccines and integrated methods, to support national and international food security and trade policies.
We also test solutions to reduce the impact of livestock diseases and rumen microbiota on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, focusing on ruminants in LMICs. To guide effective disease control, we conduct pathogen surveillance to track serotypes and genotypes and maintain pathogen stocks for vaccine matching.
In addition, we offer services to assess the safety, efficacy, and immune response of vaccines and diagnostic tools, including field studies, in partnership with industry
