Mireille Ferrari

Team Leader, Strategic communications and outreach

Mireille Ferrari leads strategic communications at ILRI, working across all the research themes of the institution. She provides guidance on developing content that drives change and accelerates the uptake of research for development. Prior to this role, Mireille was the communications lead for the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock.

Before joining ILRI, Mireille worked with the World Food Programme Somalia Country Office where she was responsible for donor and strategic communications. She has worked on project and corporate communications with the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank in the Philippines. She was Communications Director at Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan, where she led public information and behavior change campaigns for USAID, UN agencies, NGOs and government ministries.

Mireille has a bachelor's degree from the University of Durham and a master's degree from the University of Sussex in the U.K. She also completed a multimedia post-graduate program at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S.
