Mireille Ferrari

Team Leader, Strategic communications and outreach

Mireille Ferrari leads content development at ILRI, working closely with the genetics, feeds and environment teams. She is also leading communications for CGIAR's Livestock and Climate initiative. Prior to this she was the communications manager for the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock.

Before joining ILRI, Mireille worked with the World Food Programme Somalia Country Office where she was responsible for donor and strategic communications. She has worked on project and corporate communications with the Centre for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Indonesia and the Asian Development Bank in the Philippines. She was Communications Director at Sayara Strategies in Afghanistan, where she led public information campaigns for USAID, UN agencies, NGOs and government ministries.

Mireille completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Durham in the UK and went on to study multimedia at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S.
