Ann Mureithi joined ILRI as Senior Administration Officer in the Director General’s Office on 2nd February 2015.
She is an executive management and administration, communications and development professional with experience in office administration, communications management, public affairs, editorial writing, media relations, foundation and government relations. She was previously the Executive Assistant to the Director, Communications and Public Relations at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). Prior to that, she held various positions in different organisations from an administrative and communication capacity.
Ann provides strategic and operational oversight and management of the Director General’s office, as well as supporting ILRI management team and internal communication. She has over 10 years’ experience in executive management, corporate communications and administrative duties.
She holds a PhD in Social Transformation, specialization in Sustainable Development from Tangaza University (an affiliate of Catholic University of Eastern Africa), a MSc in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from the University of Nairobi, a BA in Communications – Public Relations from Daystar University, Nairobi, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management of Development Projects from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, Nairobi and a Diploma in Business and Secretarial Studies from Valley Business School, Nairobi. Ann is from Kenya.
