This event explores the intersection of social protection and climate resilience with a particular focus on building resilience for vulnerable communities, particularly women and marginalised populations most affected by climate change. Through practical examples and case studies, the event aims to showcase the role of social protection in responding to climate shocks and fostering resilient communities. Additionally, the event aims to highlight the contributions of both state and non-state actors, emphasising the pivotal role of local communities in driving social protection and integrating it into national, regional and global climate policies and negotiations.
