I am an ecohydrologist working on understanding the interactions of water and carbon cycling in agropastoral ecosystems. My research leverages advanced micro-meteorological observational techniques, such as Eddy Covariance, to deepen our understanding of land-atmosphere interactions, particularly in the context of carbon and methane dynamics. Currently, I am applying Eddy Covariance data to explore the dynamics of CO2 emissions and sinks in rangelands, as well as in agricultural systems employing both conservation and non-conservation tillage practices. This work aims to uncover how different land management practices influence CO2 emissions, with the ultimate goal of promoting sustainable practices that contribute to mitigating the impacts of climate change.
